Water Sports

Gandia beach offers many possibilities to enjoy water sports such as dingy sailing and windsurfing, etc....

Gandia's Yacht Club (located on the north part of the beach) is particularly noteworthy. Here, dingy sailing lessons are available for all levels of skill as well as a host of other nautical sport activities.

Municipal Sports Pavilion

The facilities include an Olympic size athletic track in an indoor pavilion and various football, basketball and hockey pitches. The sports complex, which is one of the largest in the area, is completely equipped with showers and changing rooms.

Juego de pelota (Valencian handball)

The Valencian style of handball is a local sport which is worth finding out about if you want to learn about the culture of the town you are visiting. This sport has been played in the Region of Valencian since the 13th century. There are two types: the game played in enclosed places (trinquets) and the game which has developed in the streets of the towns.
In the trinquet of Gandia games are played from Tuesday to Sunday afternoons from 4.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Closed from 13th June until 1st July.
