Description of Alenda Golf Club

The Club de Golf Alenda is situated very close to the Sierra de las Aguilas with
wonderful sea views and very pleasant climate. It is an 18-hole course with a gentle,
undulating and varied round. It is enjoyable for any player and you will really
need to use all your clubs. It's quite a quick round, as all of the holes are linked
together and the walks from green to tee are short.
The first nine holes are medium length and favour the accurate
player over the big hitter. The holes are easy and the fairways are wide which helps
on the tee shots.
The next nine holes require greater concentration as the round
is more technical and accuracy will count more than distance. Holes 16 and 18 will
be clearly decisive in your final score...
The greens give a special character to the course because the slopes
allow for a wide variety of flag positions and you will need to visualise the break
very clearly when putting and hit the ball with just the right amount of oomph if
you want to hole out in good order.
