The First International Congress of Golf Directors , which is entitled "The challenge of confronting and overcoming the economic crunch" is a meeting point for senior executives and managers of golf courses, both European and Americans, in order to polish up their experiences.
Among the many speakers involved, it can be found from managers who have taken part in organizing tournaments worldwide to relevant chairpersons and members of various associations of golf, including Jim Singerling, Jerry Kilby, Jack Warfield, Carlos Roca, Juan Manuel Baixauli Daniel Asis Ton Lodder, Reviriego or Francisco Javier Amorós.
The Councilor for Tourism and the mayor of Benidorm rated this sport as a "fundamental" to tourism development in the Community. Angelica Such said that in the 2009 Promotion Plan , the Government "takes the golf as its cornerstone, with the presence at trade fairs, familiarization trips, and carrying out agreements to show the world that we have a climate that allows its practice throughout the year. " For his part, Manuel Perez Fenoll assure that the creation of golf courses in the city has been a complement "strategic" model of sun and beach tourism.
