These traditional parties, declared International Tourist Interest, we will begin the neighboring village July 24 and will end on 31 of the same month.
Like every year Villajoyosa is decked to celebrate one of its most international and beautiful festivity, the Fiestas of Moros and Cristianos in honor of Santa Marta. A festive feeling to convey to the public acts of the party, notably the struggle between the two sides, the fireworks and devotion of the villagers for their patron saint Santa Marta.
The events planned are:
Friday 24 at 9 pm will open the holiday lighting, and will play the anthem of Valencia to end a great Mascleta (fireworks)
Saturday 25 noon at 1 will make the visit of courtesy of King Christian and King Moro and at 9pm a parade will be done thorugh the streets
On Sunday 26th the Christian King visits the Moro (noon to 1) and 9 pm the parade as well.
Monday 27 – From 6 in the morning the concentration of the event companies Pescadors, Mariners, Pirates and Smugglers Corsairs in the Glorieta de Barranquet to go along Varadero Avenue to the port for the search of boats. The concentration of 7 Christian troops to defend the castle in Basseta L, Oli. Finally, at 9 pm from the junction with Avenida Varadero Avenida del Puerto to the
Castillo, presentation of the Moro troups to his troops and to the Bedouin embassy King
